Vikings – Pickled Liver

Vikings pulled off another spectacular display with results – 3 Points.

Vikings played their style of play of 1-2 touch passes up the field with a lot of good on and off the ball runs by the whole team.

Game Started
1. After an offsides call, Richard kicked it up to Claus running down the line –
Claus had a one on one in the corner, Claus then zipped by his defender and crossed it to Udom, who then after a great run – shot it by the goalie – NET!!!

2. Again a superb corner by Martin for an assist to the far pole.  Chris with CONVICTION ran up towards the far pole and headed the ball forward in the corner, goalie no chance – NET!!!.

3. Martin’s sniper long throw was headed out towards an opponent until Travis broke to the ball and headed it down, exchanged it with Martin after following his throw in, who dribbled the ball across the field and passed a ball for an assist that hugged the ground to Claus, who then suddenly made a magnificent spin move with his trap to set up a left foot blast low to the side of the NET!!!

4. Martin in midfield passed the ball back to Richard who touched it back to Clean Sheet Goalie Michael, for a wide pass to Breitner.  Breitner then dribbled the ball up after burning a defender and passed it to Chris who gave it right back to Breitner, who nudged it over to Richard. Richard gave a good lead pass wide to Travis for a through pass up towards the front to Tim, who then touched it to Chris who worked it up to Claus. Claus’ second assist crossed it up it up the middle front where after a super run by Shining and Leaving Star Matt – quoted for 2 months saying, “I will score in my last game!” – slid and banged the ball in for a thrilling 1st Viking goal – NET!!!
