Vikings vs. Chinese Peking
Sunday 1/3-2009 14.30
The Vikings will be looking to keep their impressive winning streak alive against the Chinese Peking this Sunday. Last time around the Vikings only managed a 3-3 draw against the bottom team.
As for the team news there are reports of some important absentees. Richard is out for the season with an ankle injury and keeper Michael is out as well with a knee injury. Breitner and Tim will not be able to play due to other obligations.
Good news is that Martin seems fit after battling a foot injury and Christian the new Danish signing have been included in the squad. Also captain Graeme and Jannik returns to the squad after missing last weeks win.
The coaches will face some difficult decisions regarding the lineup. First of all a proper keeper must be found. Then who should replace Richard in central defense? Hallas would be a natural choice but Stein could also be an option after his fantastic performance last week.
Rumors suggested that Graeme and Jannik might start up front. With 12 goals between them this could be a lethal attack force. However both coaches refused to comment on this after the Tuesday night practice.
The squad: Mofok, Chris, Stein, Nick, Udom, Travis, Martin, Ruj, Hallas, Graeme, Jannik, Pong and Christian.
According to the official predictions the Vikings should win this 3-2: http://www.somtam.com/scores/week19.htm
